Domhnall Gleeson is set to star in the upcoming Peacock spin-off series The Paper, which follows a struggling newspaper in Toledo, Ohio. However, it seems he had some valuable advice from co-stars John Krasinski and Steve Carell.
At the premiere of their new movie Fountain of Youth, now playing in theaters, Gleeson shared that both Krasinski and Carell were “wonderful” to work with, offering words of encouragement as he joined the show. Krasinski’s advice was straightforward: “do it.” Carell also chimed in, stating that working with Greg Daniels, the creator of The Office, is a rare treat.
Gleeson will play the eager publisher of The Truth Teller, a struggling newspaper he tries to revive with volunteer reporters. He expressed his happiness with the show, saying they have something “really lovely.” Carell previously praised Gleeson as an “excellent actor” after their collaboration on Hulu’s 2022 limited series The Patient.
The Paper is set to premiere on Peacock in September.
