Donkey Kong Bananza Arrives on July 17 for Nintendo Switch 2

Get ready for an all-new adventure with Donkey Kong as he explores the depths of Ingot Isle and teams up with new partner Pauline in Donkey Kong Bananza, a 3D platforming game launching exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 system on July 17.

Donkey Kong returns to action when a tempest sends him hurtling deeper into the planet’s cavernous depths, where he meets Odd Rock – a talented young singer named Pauline. Together, they must navigate through obstacles and enemies by smashing, crashing, jumping, and singing their way through the Underground World.

Players can utilize powerful abilities like Dive Punch, Turf Surfing, and Hand Slap to smash through obstacles and uncover hidden items. Bananza Transformations allow Donkey Kong to become stronger, faster, or even fly with Pauline’s singing power. The game also features local co-op play, allowing two players to control DK and Pauline separately using Joy-Con 2 controllers.

The quest for the Planet Core becomes a thrilling adventure as Donkey Kong and Pauline face off against the villainous Void Company, led by Void Kong. Along the way, they’ll encounter familiar faces like Cranky Kong and his companion Rambi, as well as new inhabitants across the Underground World.

Donkey Kong Bananza also includes creative game modes such as Photo Mode, DK Artist, and support for amiibo figures, which unlock in-game items and benefits. The Nintendo Switch 2 system features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access.
