Doom: Dark Ages Update Fixes Multiple Crashes Across All Platforms

Bethesda Softworks has released a new update for Doom: The Dark Ages, aimed at fixing multiple crash issues across all platforms. The update is now live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

According to the update’s patch notes, it fixes crashes that occur when starting new maps, loading late-campaign saves, and using the Shield Saw weapon.

However, despite these fixes, some players continue to report issues, including problems with the “Berserker” milestone. The milestone is required to unlock the Platinum trophy, but in some cases, the trophy doesn’t unlock even after completing the milestone.

Players have also reported other issues, such as crashes during gameplay and freezes on PC versions of the game. Bethesda has acknowledged these known issues and has not released full patch notes beyond what was posted on social media.

Despite ongoing bugs, Doom: The Dark Ages has seen a strong start with over 3 million players since its launch, hitting that number seven times faster than Doom Eternal did in 2020.
