A McDonald’s worker wanted in connection with the shooting death of a DoorDash driver has been arrested. Kevin J. Holland, 25, was taken into custody in Spring Lake after a brief struggle. He faces a first-degree murder charge and is being held without bond. The shooting occurred at the McDonald’s on Thursday night, just after 8:15 p.m., when an altercation between a McDonald’s employee and a DoorDash driver turned violent. Samori Husamudeen, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family remembered him as a loving father to four children and a devoted member of his community. The local McDonald’s has offered counseling resources to its crew in support of those affected by the tragedy. Holland is expected to make his first court appearance next week. Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Detective C. Cross or Crimestoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
