Doris Burke’s NBA Finals Future Uncertain Amid ESPN Changes

ESPN’s Doris Burke Might Not Call the 2025 NBA Finals with Current Booth Team

ESPN’s three-person booth of Mike Breen, Doris Burke, and Richard Jefferson is set to call the 2025 NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers. However, it may be their last time together as a team. According to The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand, ESPN plans to re-sign Jefferson but Burke’s spot on the team is uncertain.

ESPN executives will evaluate the entire roster, with discussions focusing on whether Burke is better suited for a two-person or three-person team. Burke has been with ESPN since 1991 and was promoted to lead NBA broadcast team in 2023 after Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson were laid off.
