SpaceX is scheduled to launch two Falcon 9 rockets from Cape Canaveral on April 21, producing sonic booms during both launches.
The first launch, CRS-32, will take place before sunrise and carry supplies to the International Space Station (ISS), including 6,700 pounds of cargo and over 30 science experiments. The launch window opens at 4:15 a.m., with the rocket landing its first-stage booster back at Cape Canaveral Landing Zone.
The second launch, Bandwagon-3, will occur after sunset and will carry dozens of small satellites for customers, including private and government companies. SpaceX has not confirmed the exact timing but expects to land the first-stage booster from this mission at the Cape Canaveral Landing Zone as well.
Both launches are expected to produce sonic booms due to the rocket’s re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere. The FLORIDA TODAY Space Team will provide live coverage of both launches, starting two hours prior to CRS-32 and 90 minutes before Bandwagon-3.
