Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, has been dropped as a patron for multiple charities after leaked emails revealed her close friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. The charities include Julia’s House, Teenage Cancer Trust, Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, British Heart Foundation, and Children’s Literacy Charity.
According to leaked emails, Ferguson referred to Epstein as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend” just three years after he was imprisoned for soliciting prostitution from a minor. This revelation has led to her expulsion from these charities due to the association with the disgraced sex offender.
Ferguson had previously condemned Epstein’s behavior publicly but wrote an email that suggests she was trying to salvage their friendship in exchange for advice on how to maintain her career as a children’s author and philanthropist. The charities have since distanced themselves from her due to the scandal surrounding Epstein’s alleged abuse of minors.
This development comes after Prince Andrew faced controversy over his association with Epstein, leading Buckingham Palace to strip him of his military affiliations and royal patronages in 2022.
