That’s not the reason why I didn’t want to come back.” He acknowledged that he is expected to be a candidate for a trade this summer but deflected questions on the matter, leaving it up to the Suns organization.
The Suns have underperformed this season, ranking 11th in the Western Conference with a 26-28 record. Durant’s decision not to get traded may indicate that he is committed to helping the team finish the season strong.
