EA has released a patch for the recently launched Legacy editions of The Sims 1 and The Sims 2, addressing numerous issues that left players frustrated with “farcical” glitches and game crashes.
The games initially received mixed reviews due to their technical problems, but EA acknowledged the issues and promised to fix them. This latest patch includes fixes for various crashes, game instability, and other bugs, making it more enjoyable for players.
Key fixes include:
– Resolved Alt+Tab or Alt+Enter-related crashes
– Improved navigation on the neighbourhood map
– Enhanced music playback in Live mode
– Fixed issues with Sim visibility and disappearance
EA also provided general notes for players, reminding them to update their graphics drivers and ensuring that game settings are configured correctly.
The Sims team acknowledged that some remaining issues still need investigation, but encouraged players to continue playing and thanked them for being part of the series’ history.
