Electronic Arts has shot down speculation about increasing game prices to $80, at least not yet. In the company’s Q1 earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson stated that there are no plans for dramatic price hikes, citing a “fairly broad pricing scheme” across its various products.
Wilson emphasized the importance of offering value to players through different pricing tiers, from free-to-play options to premium editions and deluxe bundles. While EA may revisit its pricing strategy in the future, no changes are currently planned for 2026, with the fiscal year ending in March.
The company’s chief financial officer, Stuart Canfield, added that EA’s focus remains on long-term value for players, particularly in its live service business. With popular titles like Battlefield 6, Madden 26, and EA Sports FC 26 on the horizon, fans can rest assured that prices will remain unchanged for now.
