Eagles Activate Brandon Graham, Place Nick Gates on IR

The Philadelphia Eagles have activated defensive end Brandon Graham from injured reserve, allowing him to potentially play in Super Bowl LIX. Graham had been out since suffering a triceps injury in Week 12 and was considered done for the season. However, with the Super Bowl trip giving him an extra opportunity, he returned to practice on Friday as a full participant.

Graham’s return could provide a boost to the team’s defense, but it also means the end of his 15-year career. “I’m just happy that I’m able to play in this last one,” Graham said. The Eagles elevated linebacker Nicholas Morrow and fullback Khari Blasingame from the practice squad for the game.

The team has made other roster moves as well. Nick Gates, who played mostly at center during his limited appearances, is now on injured reserve due to a groin injury. Gates had been inactive for most of the season but was listed as questionable on Thursday’s practice report. The Eagles will announce their inactives for the game Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
