The Philadelphia Eagles secured the right to host the NFC Championship Game after defeating the Los Angeles Rams 28-22 on Sunday, despite quarterback Jalen Hurts’ apparent knee injury.
Hurts finished the game, but was visibly limited and admitted he may not have been at full strength. He attributed his performance to the team’s overall strategy and expressed confidence in playing next week against the Washington Commanders.
Despite struggling with pressure and finishing with unimpressive stats, Hurts praised running back Saquon Barkley, who had a dominant performance, including two long touchdown runs. The Eagles’ offense relies heavily on Barkley, and if he’s not able to contribute, they may struggle to move the ball.
Barkley acknowledged that he’ll be facing his toughest test yet in next week’s game against the Commanders. However, he’s fully prepared for the challenge, citing the importance of playing at home and facing their division rivals.
The Eagles will look to Barkley to carry them through again as they advance to the NFC Championship Game.
