Defensive end Brandon Graham, the hero of Super Bowl LII, is making a comeback bid just in time for the championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Graham opened the practice window on Thursday after rehabbing from a triceps injury sustained in late November.
The 36-year-old veteran was initially expected to miss the remainder of the season due to the injury, but optimism has grown that he might be able to play in the championship game. Graham’s statement after Sunday’s 55-23 win over the Washington Commanders hinted at his determination: “I’ve been working, man. We’re going to see.”
Graham is the author of the most consequential play in franchise history, a strip sack of Tom Brady that helped deliver the first and only Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia. He has played 206 regular-season games, the most in team history, and accumulated 76.5 sacks, making him a key part of Vic Fangio’s edge rush rotation before his injury.
Graham’s return could provide a boost to the Eagles’ defense ahead of their championship game against the Chiefs.
