Eagles Edge Packers 22-10 in Wild-Card Game

The Philadelphia Eagles overcame a lackluster first half to defeat the Green Bay Packers 22-10 and advance to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. The game came alive in the second half, with back-to-back highlight-reel touchdowns.

The Eagles dominated the first half, with quarterback Jalen Hurts finding Jahan Dotson for a touchdown on their third play from scrimmage. Saquon Barkley also had a big run, setting up Jake Elliott’s 31-yard field goal to put Philadelphia ahead 10-0.

However, Green Bay’s defense kept them in the game, and they eventually took control in the second half. After a scare when Packers receiver Romeo Doubs fell awkwardly and was evaluated for a concussion, Green Bay finally got on the board with a Brandon McManus field goal.

The Eagles responded with two more touchdowns, including an incredible run by tight end Dallas Goedert that stretched the lead to 16-3. However, Green Bay refused to give up, and Josh Jacobs’ 31-yard touchdown run cut the deficit to six at 16-10.

The Packers were unable to sustain momentum, and Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell came down with the ball on a deep pass to seal the victory. Philadelphia was able to run out the clock, cementing their win and advancing to the next round of the playoffs.
