Eagles Promote Kevin Patullo to Offense Coordinator

The Philadelphia Eagles have promoted passing game coordinator/associate head coach Kevin Patullo to the vacant offensive coordinator position, according to a team announcement made Wednesday. Patullo will replace Kellen Moore, who recently became the head coach of the New Orleans Saints.

Patullo has worked closely with Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni for eight years, starting as wide receivers coach and pass game specialist for the Indianapolis Colts from 2018 to 2020 during Sirianni’s tenure there. When Sirianni joined the Eagles in 2021, he brought Patullo on board as passing game coordinator.

Sirianni praised Patullo’s importance to his team’s success, citing their close working relationship and Patullo’s ability to serve as a sounding board for key decisions. The new offense coordinator will work closely with quarterback Jalen Hurts, with whom Patullo has developed familiarity over several seasons.

The promotion comes after the Eagles’ previous in-house move did not yield desired results, leading to Moore being brought in this offseason to revamp the offense. However, under Sirianni’s more hands-off approach and reliance on their elite ground game, the team enjoyed a 10-game winning streak before ultimately falling short in Super Bowl LIX.
