The Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed All-Pro linebacker Zack Baun to a three-year contract worth $51 million. The deal includes $34 million guaranteed at signing, and an additional $1.5 million in incentives and escalators. This makes Baun one of the highest-paid linebackers in the NFL.
Baun had a remarkable season in 2024, going from being a rotational edge rusher to an inside linebacker under new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. He recorded 151 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and five forced fumbles, earning him All-Pro honors.
The deal is the second lucrative contract handed out by the Eagles in two days, following a two-year, $41.2 million extension to running back Saquon Barkley on Tuesday. Baun’s signing also marks a significant investment in the team’s future, as he will be 30 years old at the start of the third year of his deal.
Baun was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2020 draft and played for four seasons before joining the Eagles. He started 14 games over that period, recording 88 tackles and two sacks.
