Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown was seen reading a book during the team’s 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers. The book, “Inner Excellence” by Jim Murphy, is meant to train one’s mind for exceptional performance and life success. Brown said he brings the book to every game to find focus, which he claims helps him stay calm despite any challenges.
The Eagles’ passing game struggled without quarterback Jalen Hurts due to a concussion and injuries to DeVonta Smith. However, Brown praised Hurts for handling the game well, saying “he didn’t have any turnovers” and that their win is the most important thing.
When asked why he reads on the sideline, Brown explained that it helps him refocus and stay in sync with the team despite any issues. He also clarified that his reading isn’t a sign of frustration, as some might assume due to his limited catches during the game.
Brown’s teammate, quarterback Jalen Hurts, acknowledged that everyone finds their own way to focus and stay calm under pressure. The Eagles will host the divisional round of the playoffs next weekend, with Brown’s book likely to be by his side.
