Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries will receive their payments on different days in February compared to usual due to the holiday schedule. February 1 falls on a Saturday, so payments will be distributed on Friday, January 31. This is not an unusual occurrence; SSI payments were also sent early in late November for December’s payment.
Normally, if a month’s payment is delayed until the last days of the previous month, there is no payment in the current month. However, this rule does not apply to holidays like New Year’s Day. Despite the irregular schedule, all intended checks will be received throughout 2025.
It’s worth noting that receiving two SSI payments in one month and none in another might require some adjustments. Social Security payments, which are usually sent on the third day of the month, will still arrive as scheduled for February (February 3) and March (March 3).
