Easter Sunday falls on April 20, with various retailers having different store hours. According to the National Retail Federation, consumers spent around $23.6 billion on Easter-related items this year, exceeding last year’s total by over $1 billion.
Shoppers have shown strong demand for certain products, such as candy ($3.3 billion), food ($7.4 billion), gifts ($3.8 billion), clothing ($3.5 billion), and decorations ($1.7 billion).
On Easter Sunday, some notable retailers will be open, including Walmart, Trader Joe’s, Home Depot, Dollar General, and Dollar Tree. However, others like Target, Lowe’s, Bass Pro Shop, Aldi, Belk, Best Buy, Burlington, Costco, Dick’s Sporting Goods, HomeGoods, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Marshall’s, Michael’s, Publix, Sam’s, and TJ Maxx will be closed. CVS and Walgreens will also operate on reduced hours.
