Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is visiting Sweden from an invitation by Archbishop Martin Modeus and Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden to attend “Ecumenical Week.” During his visit, he will participate in events organized by the Christian Council of Sweden and the Lutheran Church. He is scheduled to deliver three keynote addresses and meet with Swedish state leaders and representatives of other Christian denominations.
Bartholomew’s schedule includes a Sunday ceremony at Stockholm’s restored Cathedral of Saint George, where he will perform the Divine Liturgy. This marks an important ecumenical event in Sweden, promoting unity among Christians and fostering dialogue between different faith traditions.
