Midgar Studio, the indie developer behind 2021’s JRPG Edge of Eternity, is set to release its sequel, Edge of Memories, in Q4 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game boasts an impressive voice cast, including Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger), Emi Evans (Nier), Raita Kazama (Xenoblade Chronicles), and Mitsuru Yokoyama (Final Fantasy XV).
Edge of Memories takes place in the same world as its predecessor, Heryon, where a catastrophic event known as the Corrosion has ravaged the continent. The game’s story follows Eline, an itinerant Soul Whisperer, who discovers she can control the Corrosion within her own body. With the help of unlikely allies Ysoris and Kanta, Eline must overcome formidable foes to save a doomed world.
The game features significant changes from its predecessor, including real-time battles and a reimagined art direction. Fans of Edge of Eternity can wishlist Edge of Memories on Steam now, marking an exciting new chapter in the series’ development.
