Egg shortages will be felt at Trader Joe’s and Costco this week as both retailers limit egg purchases. On Monday, Trader Joe’s announced it would restrict customers to one dozen eggs per day, citing ongoing supply issues. Costco also implemented similar restrictions last week.
The move is aimed at ensuring that those in need of eggs can still access them. “We hope these limits will help to ensure that as many of our customers who need eggs are able to purchase them,” said Nakia Rohde, Trader Joe’s Public Relations Manager, in an email statement.
