Israel’s elite military unit, reportedly the Sayeret Matkal, destroyed a facility in Syria that was allegedly producing precision surface-to-surface missiles for Hezbollah, Iran, and the Syrian government. The operation took place last September, involving around 100 soldiers who left 30 Syrian troops dead.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Syrian facility was used to manufacture missiles intended for these parties. The IDF released information on Thursday about the operation, highlighting its importance in disrupting potential threats to Israeli security.
