Tesla CEO Elon Musk has criticized Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, calling him a “huge jerk” for expressing joy over the declining stock price of his company.
During an interview with Fox News, Musk stated that Walz’s behavior was unacceptable and questioned whether he is a good person. The criticism comes after Walz had gloated about Tesla’s plummeting stocks at a town hall event in Wisconsin earlier this month.
Walz had later walked back his comments during another town hall meeting in Minnesota, saying he was making a joke. However, Musk did not let it slide and instead emphasized that the company is facing significant challenges due to its reputation for vandalism at dealerships and intimidation of customers nationwide and internationally.
The decline in Tesla’s stock market value has been attributed to Musk’s decision to fire thousands of federal employees and implement massive budget cuts as part of his “Department of Government Efficiency” initiative. The move was reportedly made with the assistance of President Donald Trump, who received millions of dollars from Musk in support of his re-election campaign.
Musk has faced intense criticism for his handling of the situation, with many questioning his leadership style and commitment to the well-being of Tesla employees and customers.
