Elon Musk, billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been joined by one of his sons during a recent appearance at the White House, sparking renewed interest in Musk’s personal life and his 12 children. The tech mogul has long advocated for having more children to combat what he sees as a global underpopulation crisis.
Musk believes that having more children should be incentivized, not penalized financially. He stated on social media that “we must create the next generation of humans or spiral into oblivion.” His first wife, Justine Wilson, is a fantasy and sci-fi author who had six children with Musk before they divorced in 2008.
Two of those children, Griffin and Vivian, are still relatively private figures. However, their half-siblings, including X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, and Techno Mechanicus, have been more public figures. Elon Musk also has three children with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, who were born in 2021 and 2024.
Musk’s commitment to having a large family and his vision for the future of his kids are drawing attention, particularly as his influence grows. His $35 million compound in Texas is reportedly designed to provide a stable environment for his younger children. Despite being private figures, Musk’s children remain an important part of his public persona.
