Elon Musk has taken a break from social media after a right-wing influencer claimed she gave birth to his 13th child. Ashley St Clair, a 26-year-old writer, wrote on X that she and Mr Musk had a five-month-old baby and accused him of failing to respond.
Mr Musk has fathered 12 children across three relationships and has not publicly confirmed or denied the influencer’s claim. However, he responded to a British X user’s suggestion that Ms St Clair’s pregnancy was pre-planned, saying she “plotted for half a decade” to ensnare him.
Ms St Clair alleged that Mr Musk slid into her DMs on X in May 2023 and asked if she ever visited San Francisco or Austin. She claimed he offered her an interview at the Twitter HQ in San Francisco, which was arranged by her company within two days.
Mr Musk has also shared a screenshot of Ms St Clair telling another user that she needed to attract his attention for a marriage proposal years before they met. Ms St Clair responded by saying Mr Musk’s team had been made aware of social media posts “clearly in jest”.
The influencer claims Mr Musk put her up in a lavish apartment in New York’s financial district, isolated her during pregnancy, and made her sign NDAs. Her representative said the pair were working privately on an agreement to raise their child.
Mr Musk has not directly responded to the revelations but posted a crying laughing emoji in response to a fan asking if making another baby was one of his “side quests”.
