Emily in Paris cast members are mourning the sudden death of a locally hired third assistant director, Diego Borella, who was 47. Borella collapsed on set while filming season five in Venice, Italy, and despite efforts to revive him, he died due to a heart attack.
The Paramount Television Studios spokesperson said, “We are deeply saddened to confirm the sudden passing of a member of our production family.” The news comes after Netflix unveiled first-look images of Emily in Paris season five, starring Lily Collins, which is set to release on December 18. The series follows Emily as she navigates her new life in Paris and faces professional and romantic challenges.
Borella was part of the cast in a supporting role, according to reports. His death has left the production team and fans in shock.
