This year’s Emmy Awards saw “Adolescence” sweep the limited series categories, taking home eight wins including best limited or anthology series and supporting actor awards for Owen Cooper. The HBO medical drama “The Pitt” picked up five Emmys, including outstanding drama series for Noah Wyle. Apple TV’s “The Studio,” a Hollywood satire starring Seth Rogen, won four trophies, breaking the record for most Emmys for a comedy in one year. Other winners included Stephen Colbert, who dazzled the crowd with his speech, and Hannah Einbinder, who delivered a pointedly political statement at her acceptance speech. The show also honored several stars making Emmy history, including young winner Owen Cooper and Tramell Tillman becoming the first Black man to win supporting actor in a drama series.
