Enabling “End Task” Feature on Windows 11 Taskbar: Steps and Precautionsor

Windows 11’s taskbar includes a hidden “End Task” function that Microsoft turned off by default. To use it, go to Settings > System > Developer mode and turn on the End Task option. Once enabled, you can right-click an app icon in the taskbar and choose “End Task.” This closes the app without opening the Task Manager. Useful for ending unresponsive apps. Note: Microsoft warns against enabling this feature for everyday use as it may be unstable.
