ESPN and Fox have teamed up to offer a joint streaming bundle starting October 2nd, priced at $39.99 per month. The combined service will provide access to a wide range of sports, news, and entertainment content from both media giants.
The agreement links ESPN’s soon-to-launch subscription platform with FOX One, Fox Corp’s own streaming service set to launch on the same day. The bundle aims to make ESPN’s sports programming more widely available while promoting convenience for fans who want to access multiple services without traditional cable.
According to Disney Platform Distribution executive Sean Breen, working with FOX One allows ESPN to bring its world-class sports content to more fans in a seamless and innovative way. Meanwhile, Fox Direct to Consumer senior vice president Tony Billetter sees the bundle as an opportunity to deliver value and convenience to viewers.
The ESPN platform will offer all of its main television channels, including 47,000 live events annually, while FOX One will gather live and on-demand content from across Fox’s holdings into a single destination. Users can also add additional services like FOX Nation and the Big Ten Network’s B1G+ streaming service to their subscriptions.
This bundled deal marks a scaled-down revival of the Venu Sports idea, aggregating top-tier sports content without Warner Bros. Discovery’s involvement or regulatory baggage. Both companies emphasize that the new services aim to give customers more flexibility in accessing their favorite content.
