EU Sanctions Russia Over Energy Exports and Ukraine War

The European Commission has imposed new sanctions on Russia, targeting its energy exports, infrastructure, and financial institutions. The measures include reducing the oil price cap from $60 to $45 per barrel and banning the use of the Nord Stream pipelines. Additionally, 22 Russian banks have been cut off from the SWIFT international banking system, effectively prohibiting all financial transactions with them.
