European Leaders Pledge Support for Ukraine Against Russia

A group of 18 European leaders has gathered in London to strengthen Ukraine’s ties with Western countries. The meeting came as a response to Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Britain and France, along with other nations, announced their intention to form a “coalition of the willing” to develop a plan for ending the war. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that several countries are willing to deploy troops to Ukraine in case of a ceasefire between Kyiv and Moscow.

Additionally, the UK is providing financial assistance to Ukraine, allowing it to purchase 5,000 air defense missiles worth £1.6 billion. This move aims to bolster support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has been facing significant challenges during the conflict. The European leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to helping Ukraine and promoting peace in the region.
