The Evolution Championship Series (Evo) 2025 has come to a close, and it left fans with plenty of exciting announcements in the fighting game community. MenaRD took home the coveted title in Las Vegas as the new Street Fighter 6 Champion.
Several notable titles were revealed at Evo, including Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, which is set to be released in 2026. The upcoming superhero fighter promises a stylish experience with popular characters like Captain America and Iron Man.
Fans of Virtua Fighter can look forward to the next installment in the series, with pre-development engine footage showcasing its detailed graphics. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is behind the new game, which will be announced more at Tokyo Game Show this fall.
Tekken 8’s latest DLC character was also revealed: Miary Zo, a new fighter from Madagascar, will join the game’s roster in the winter. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to Guilty Gear as part of the Season Pass 4, featuring Lucy from the Netflix anime.
Additionally, Street Fighter 6 welcomes Ken as its latest DLC character, with Chun-Li joining sometime over the winter. The game will also include Omni-Man from Invincible VS, which promises a bloody and brutal gameplay experience.
Street Fighter 6’s year 3 DLC plans include Sagat on August 5, Alex in early 2026, and Ingrid in late spring of next year. Fans can sign up for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls’ closed beta starting September 5 through 7 on PS5.
