Ex-Patriots LB Tedy Bruschi Endorses Vrabel Hire, Calls Out Front Office

Tedy Bruschi, a former Patriots linebacker, has come out in support of Mike Vrabel’s hiring as the team’s new head coach. Bruschi gave his endorsement on ESPN’s NFL Countdown, saying that Vrabel is “the right man for the job.” He also took aim at the Patriots’ front office, led by executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf.

Bruschi believes that Vrabel’s no-nonsense personality and experience will bring much-needed change to the organization. In contrast, Bruschi thinks that the current front office approach has been a failure, with results not following from their supposed “collaborative” approach. The Patriots’ recent draft picks have been particularly underwhelming, with an ill-fated trade that saw them select Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker instead of Ladd McConkey and Tarheeb Still.

Bruschi hopes that Vrabel’s arrival will lead to a change in the front office, with the new coach taking charge and bringing in his own people. This would be in line with Bruschi’s preference for Vrabel to have more control over the organization. With Vrabel at the helm, it remains to be seen how the Patriots’ front office will function, but one thing is certain: change has come to New England.
