Apple operating systems rarely leak, but Jon Prosser has shared a recent build of iOS 19 with some significant design tweaks. The new UI features more-rounded squircle icons, reflective elements, and a redesigned TabView UI. According to Prosser, the Home Screen app icons are now more rounded, similar to those used by Android skins.
However, the leaked design also shows pill-shaped elements reminiscent of Apple Vision Pro’s visionOS operating system. The biggest part of the leak is the new TabView animations and floating bars, which mimic existing iOS features with more lively animations like Dynamic Island.
A new search UI in iMessage has also been revealed, featuring a floating pill-shaped button at the bottom of the app. The Settings app includes longer, skinnier toggle switches and tweaks to its design.
It’s unclear if these new tidbits are significant enough for Mark Gurman’s definition, but Prosser will likely continue to push back against him in search of more substantial revelations. iOS 19 is expected to be revealed during WWDC 2025 on June 9.
