Google has confirmed its upcoming Pixel 9a smartphone, which will launch on March 19, and we have exclusive renders showcasing all four colors – Peony, Iris, Obsidian, and Porcelain. The phone will feature a flat camera bump, a massive 5,100mAh battery, and a starting price of $499.
The Pixel 9a boasts a compact design with dimensions of 154 x 73 x 8.9mm, slightly larger than its predecessor. This size increase is largely due to the substantial 5,100mAh battery, which will be the largest ever installed in a Pixel phone, even surpassing that of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Camera upgrades are also on the cards, with the new 48-megapixel main sensor featuring an f/1.7 aperture and 1/2″ sensor size. The ultra-wide-angle camera remains at 13 megapixels, while the front-facing camera retains its 13-megapixel resolution.
Pre-orders for the Pixel 9a will begin on March 19, with a $499 starting price and a higher-end 256GB model available for $599. This affordable flagship smartphone, combined with its impressive cameras and large battery, positions it as a strong contender in the under-$500 market.
