F1 25 Revolutionizes Racing Simulator Experience

Codemasters’ latest offering, F1 25, promises to be the most up-to-date and accurate F1 racing simulator available when it launches. The studio’s efforts are evident in its extensive updates and improvements. Notably, LIDAR-scanned tracks have been incorporated, providing a more realistic representation of circuits like Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola.

These tracks now feature accurate scale bends and corners, thanks to the use of laser imaging, detection, and ranging technology. What’s more, specific barrier placements during Grand Prix weekends are reflected in the game, making it feel even more immersive for seasoned fans. Senior creative director Lee Mather notes that these changes significantly impact gameplay.

In addition to LIDAR tracks, smaller adjustments like updated track surface textures and vegetation have been made to enhance realism. Trees now appear denser, bushier, and with new species, creating a more authentic atmosphere at each track. Furthermore, three classic circuits – Silverstone, Austria, and Zandvoort – are being introduced as reverse tracks for the first time in F1 history.

Other notable features include adjusted engine noises, a revamped Decal Editor, Path Tracing on PC, and new events in F1 World. The game will also boast 8K resolution on PS5 Pro at launch, solidifying its position as an exceptional racing simulator experience. Overall, these updates collectively elevate F1 25 to a truly new gaming entity.
