Fab Four Stars Announced for Major Beatles Films

A star-studded cast has been confirmed for a major trilogy of films about The Beatles. Paul Mescal will play Sir Paul McCartney, while Barry Keoghan will portray Ringo Starr. Harris Dickinson will step into John Lennon’s shoes, and Joseph Quinn will bring George Harrison to life.

The films, directed by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, will focus on each member of the iconic band individually. Mendes explained that he wanted to tell their story in a way that was both intimate and expansive, highlighting how each musician contributed to the band’s unique sound.

The quartet, which also includes Mescal as William Shakespeare, will appear together for the first time at an upcoming CinemaCon convention. They recited from “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and gave a synchronized bow, marking a new chapter in Beatles-themed filmmaking.

The films are set to be released in 2028 and will be part of a larger cinematic event that Mendes hopes will bring audiences back to the big screen. This is not the first time The Beatles have been the subject of major film projects – numerous documentaries, dramas, and films have explored their lives and legacy over the years.

With this new trilogy, fans can look forward to an in-depth examination of each Beatle’s story, from McCartney’s iconic songs to Lennon’s activism and Harrison’s spiritual journey.
