Family Claims US Citizen Detained for 43 Hours, Customs Officials Dispute

A US citizen, Sunny Naqvi, was taken into custody by immigration officials after arriving back in Chicago from a work trip abroad. Her family claims she was held for 30 hours at O’Hare International Airport and then sent to another facility, but Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officials dispute these claims. According to the CBP, Naqvi was only flagged for additional inspection upon arrival and released within 90 minutes. However, her family says federal agents continued to tell them she was not in custody despite their previous location showing her at a facility in Broadview. The incident has raised concerns about immigration detentions and the treatment of individuals by US authorities.
