The 12-team PPR mock draft featured a talented lineup of analysts from NBC Sports/Rotoworld, FantasyLife, and other top fantasy football experts. The consensus RB1 finisher was Jahmyr Gibbs, who scored 46.0 PPR points in his rookie season. Despite some concerns about his ceiling, Jackson smartly exploited Gibbs’ mispriced ADP, taking him as the overall RB1 pick.
Gibbs’ teammate Bijan Robinson is a strong candidate to finish as fantasy football’s top non-quarterback scorer, thanks to an improved offense and quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Crawford got Robinson at value with the 1.04 pick.
The elite quarterback run began in the second round, with Jackson stacking his WR2 Garrett Wilson with new Jets quarterback Justin Fields. Fields is a candidate to lead both NFL quarterbacks and Jets skill position players in rushing yardage. Wilson is also poised for a big season, making them a formidable combination.
In the later rounds, Bodiford’s risk-reward approach paid off with wide receivers Chris Godwin, Matthew Golden, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, and Jayden Higgins finding their way onto his roster. Jackson continued to stack high-upside players, adding veteran TE Mark Andrews and Colts rookie tight end Tyler Warren.
The mock draft ended with Jackson, Shlain, and Carter rounding out their rosters with high-upside bench stash running backs capable of returning RB2 value if each NFL team’s respective starter misses time. The results show that a well-rounded approach to fantasy football can lead to a strong roster, even in the later rounds.
