Fantasy football season is just around the corner, and now that mock drafts are complete, it’s time to focus on the top targets in your lineup. The numbers and projections matter, but so does the tape. We’re looking for players with a higher floor and consistency, as well as those with upside and breakout performances.
Here are my top fantasy football targets for 2025:
**Quarterbacks**
* Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals) – A pass-heavy system with elite pocket movement, Burrow can challenge for the overall RB1 crown.
* Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – An aggressive thrower with a career-best 378 yards on the ground, Mayfield has two talented pass catchers to work with.
**Running Backs**
* Jahmyr Gibbs (Detroit Lions) – A top-five pick with solid PPR production and goal-line running ability.
* TreVeyon Henderson (New England Patriots) – A slasher with big-play juice and the pass-catching skills to produce on third downs.
* Isiah Pacheco (Kansas City Chiefs) – A middle-round value pick after a 2024 season derailed by injury, Pacheco brings a dual-threat element to Andy Reid’s system.
**Wide Receivers**
* Ladd McConkey (Los Angeles Chargers) – A detailed route runner with high-percentage throws and WR1 upside.
* Jameson Williams (Detroit Lions) – A dynamic threat with home run skills and the ability to create big plays in one of the league’s top-scoring offenses.
* Jakobi Meyers (Las Vegas Raiders) – A physical route runner with the receiving traits to create consistent opportunities.
**Tight Ends**
* Evan Engram (Denver Broncos) – An upgrade for Engram, with quarterback play and coach Sean Payton’s schemes setting him up for a consistent floor.
