A major piracy crackdown by the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office has resulted in the seizure of several high-traffic websites accused of distributing pirated video games. The domains seized include nsw2u.com, nswdl.com, and others. According to authorities, these sites hosted and facilitated access to illegal copies of popular video games days before their official release dates.
The FBI says that between February 28 and May 28, 2025, one download service on the sites recorded over 3.2 million downloads. The agency also dismantled the underlying infrastructure supporting the illegal activity and credited the Dutch Fiscal Information and Investigation Service for assisting in the international investigation.
As a result of the crackdown, an estimated $170 million in losses to the gaming industry can be attributed to the seized domains.
