The season finale of FBI: International left fans reeling with its shocking twist. After Greg Csonka’s arrest, the Fly Team tried to build a case against him, but things took a surprising turn when Wes (Jesse Lee Soffer) was called to testify.
As Wes prepared to give his statement, it became clear that Simons’ strategy was not only to impeach Wes’ credibility but also to make a personal attack on him. Simons questioned Wes about his troubled past, including his mother’s overdose and his time in juvenile detention. This line of questioning made Wes emotional, which ultimately led to a major blunder.
When it came time for Csonka to testify, the defense team exploited Wes’ vulnerability, making him appear as if he was trying to cover up his own dark past. The prosecution then offered Csonka a deal: six months in prison for aiding and abetting a crime, but only if he confessed to killing Wes’ former partner.
Csonka agreed to the deal, but just as the Fly Team thought they had won, Csonka escaped from custody during transport. In the ensuing shootout, Vo was shot and left with serious injuries, including a fractured collarbone and damage to her subclavian vein.
The season finale ended with Wes vowing to track down Csonka and make him pay for his crimes. The question on everyone’s mind is: how far will Wes go? Will he be able to bring Csonka to justice without sacrificing his own life?
The season returns on January 28, 2025, at 9/8c on CBS, promising more action-packed episodes and unexpected twists.
