The carriage deal between YouTube TV and various Fox networks is set to expire, putting the service at risk of losing access to Fox channels if a new agreement can’t be reached. The dispute could affect the first week of the NFL season and keep Saturday’s Texas-Ohio State game off YouTube TV for its 9.4 million subscribers.
FCC Chairman Brendan Carr weighed in on social media, urging Google to resolve the issue before the football season begins. Carr warned that removing Fox channels from YouTube TV would be a “terrible outcome” for millions of Americans who rely on the service to watch news and sports.
