A high-ranking official responsible for overseeing Neuralink Corp.’s devices has been fired by the FDA. Ross Segan, who led the office of product evaluation at the agency’s medical device center, was let go amid a mass layoffs across the US Department of Health and Human Services. This move could impact Neuralink’s future trials, as the company would now need to obtain FDA approval for its next major clinical trial.
