FDA Warns of Salmonella Risk in SunFed Produce Cucumbers

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for all sizes of whole fresh American cucumbers due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected cucumbers were sold by SunFed Produce, LLC, from October 12 to November 26, 2024. They were shipped to various retailers and food service outlets across the US and Canada.

Consumers who purchased these cucumbers are advised not to consume them and to discard or return them immediately. If unsure about the product’s origin, contact the retailer for verification. The FDA has set up a recall hotline at 888-542-5849 (MST) for questions and concerns.

Symptoms of Salmonella infection can be found on the CDC website.
