Ferrari Unveils SF-25 with New Front Suspension Design for 2025 Season

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton have taken the team’s new SF-25 car out on track at Fiorano, marking the first time the car has been run by its drivers. The 2025 livery was revealed last night in London, but both drivers returned to Italy ahead of the first test session this morning.

The most noticeable change is the switch from push rod to pull rod front suspension, designed to increase aerodynamic development opportunities for the team. This move aims to overcome the limitations of last year’s solution and provide more room for innovation. “We can expect the coming season to be very closely contested,” said chassis technical director Loic Serra. “We are all set to give it our best shot to find those gains, even the marginal ones, that can make the difference.”

Serra emphasizes that while substantial changes have been made, the SF-25 is still built on a similar performance concept as its predecessor. The main goal of the updates is to boost aerodynamic development and reduce development constraints. “The car is more of a continuity of the previous car,” Serra said. “We’ve changed most of the parts, but the main performance concept remains the same.”
