First Human Spaceflight Around Earth’s Polar Regions Underway

The Fram2 mission has successfully begun its journey as the first human spaceflight around Earth’s polar regions. Commander Chun Wang, a Chinese-born entrepreneur and cryptocurrency investor, is leading the private mission alongside three other crew members.

Wang shares that he has always been fascinated by space and wanted to explore the polar regions from space. The Fram2 mission aims to capture unique views of these regions from a 90-degree circularized orbit, also known as a polar orbit. This will provide a new perspective on the aurora displays and allow the crew to share their experiences with the world.

The mission is part of the SolarMaX project, which focuses on taking aurora photos, and supports the Blue Marble Project’s goal of getting children interested in space. The crew has undergone extensive training for the three-to-five-day mission, covering simulations, emergency preparedness, and microgravity environments.

For Wang, this mission represents a culmination of his love for adventure and exploration. He is excited to share the world with the polar regions through space travel and believes private space travel has just begun its journey. The Fram2 crew will spend time exploring, conducting experiments, and taking in the breathtaking views of the polar regions.

The mission marks an historic milestone as Wang becomes the 1,000th person to fly into space. This pioneering effort showcases the potential for commercial space travel to advance humanity’s understanding of our planet and its natural wonders.
