A DUI checkpoint in Fresno’s downtown area resulted in five arrests and 26 citations for license violations. The overnight checkpoint screened 285 vehicles from March 7, 2026. Police targeted the location based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes to promote public safety.
Funding for the operation came from a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration grant. A similar DUI saturation patrol is scheduled for March 14.
