“Floribama Shore Star Kirk Medas Dies at 33”

Reality TV star Kirk Medas, who starred in the MTV hit series “Floribama Shore,” has passed away at 33, according to a statement shared on his show’s Instagram page. The cause of death was necrotizing pancreatitis, a complication of acute pancreatitis.

Medas had been hospitalized last month after developing a serious case of pancreatitis and was later transferred to the ICU, where he remained for two weeks on a ventilator. Fellow cast member Aimee Hall expressed her condolences, saying “Pray for his mother. Pray for his friends. And pray for his castmates— we are all hurting watching our brother fight this battle.”

Pancreatitis is an inflammation and swelling of the pancreas, often caused by injury or toxins, which can lead to tissue death if left untreated. The Cleveland Clinic defines necrotizing pancreatitis as a complication where part of the pancreas dies.

The news has sent shockwaves through the show’s cast and fans, with fellow cast member Codi Butts paying tribute to Medas, saying “I love you so much… You have made me a better person.”
